For my ILE this week I studied and tested myself on the states and capitals of the Pacific Coast. This will probably be the easiest region because there were only three states and capitals to learn. I have attached the picture of the map that I took my test on. I aced it!
The LG Rollable OLED is an LED screen that can be rolled up. The screen is paper thin and unbreakable. This screen is not yet finished and ready to be for sale but it will be coming out in the next year or so. This screen will make it so we could roll up computers, TVs, tablets and other things. The screen would be good to have in class because we would be able to test out how well it works and how durable it actually is. It is a type of technology that really makes you think that the future is near. There is no price for the screen yet because it is still in the prototype stage but it will be for sale coming up in the next year or so.
Nobody came down to the help desk today.
The only person that came down was a man asking for the bathroom so I helped him. Besides that I just worked other school work.
At the help desk today no one showed up. I finished up my project and that was all I did.
TripAdvisor is an app that people can use when planning a vacation or just planning a day out. This app is very useful when you need to figure out something to do. The app has reviews on all restaurants, attractions, hotels, and other things like that. Reviews are written by people who use the app and have gone to the restaurant, hotel or other attraction. Anyone can write a review about the place. The reviews are on 0 to 5 star rating, with 5 being the best and 0 the worst. The app will also say how the place being reviewed compares to other places like it. For example Coffee Bean is ranked as 4 of 12 for places to eat in Upton. You can also view a map for all the places around you to go to. You can also use the app to find flights. To find flights you put in your departure airport, your arrival airport, your two dates or if it’s a one way flight, how many travelers, and whether you want economy, business, or first class. The app also has the top ten destinations on the home screen of the app. The app will also show your recently viewed destination, in case you want to head back to that destination at some point in time. Also if you create an account you can save different destinations. I would recommend this app to all people that are looking for somewhere to go and not sure where they want. This app is easy to use and very helpful when trying to find somewhere to go.
On Friday I played golf with Matthew, Brandon and Davin at Highfields in Grafton, I obviously won. Saturday I played basketball with a whole mess of people, I got some wins some losses overall it was a basketball outing. Sunday I played pickup football with some friends I had a good performance but my team failed to play up to my standard and we ended up losing. Monday was my little sister Gabe’s birthday so we had the family over to celebrate. This was a fun productive long weekend.
